Old Wisps of RPG's Slowly, he walked up to the palace. All around it he could see cobwebs. It was obvious that he had not lived there in a long, long time. He sat down on a bench outside. "I guess this is the end of the legacy. I have seen so much, written so much, and interacted with so many people, but now... my time is gone. Will I be forgotten to the pages of our history book," Robert Russ III asked looking down. He thought back upon the old days. He had seen his family legacy. His grandfather was originally the first ruler of Secfenia. Stability was finally given to the area. His father carried on the legacy as King of Secfenia. Then, he himself took the throne and started making drastic changes to Secfenia. Under his rule, Secfenia began to have elections and later constitutions. The people found favor in him and reelected him several times. Throughout his political career, he had expanded the nation and always tried to improve it and the people's rights. He moved to join Secfenia with another nation in the hopes of making both stronger and was chosen as Viceroy (which he kept the title long after the nations split). He had married three times. Once to a lady who many considered to be a princess (Audrey Lylles), another who had been an outspoken advocate for the rights of the people (Elizabeth Smith), and finally to one that was considered by some to be a vella from the land of Jenusfia (Allison Legan). He had seen, met, and worked with many different leaders (and at times had joined their causes or merged with their nations) including Natonito Albright (Bravia), Andy Carabino (New Fullerium), Arendyke (Valleria), Fue de Joie (New Abyssnia), Juan de Juanolius (Juanolia) and many more. He had the pleasure of running into noted and honored people like Jupiter, Stuart Marchant, Sir Shiva, Lufue Zue, Michael Angela and many more. He had led a full and rich life experiencing many joys and sadness that most could not even imagine. The people's vote had been clear. He lost and would not be reelected. It saddened him as he was quite used to being their leader and he didn't know what he would end up doing. He sat down and cried. "At least, I know I served a purpose, but I will still cry over the wisps of yesterday in remembrance of the good times," he whispered to the wind. (Written by Viceroy - March 21, 2007 in memory of the old RPG Secfenia) When I was younger, I played in several RPG's and also moderated one myself. I am glad that I had the opportunity to meet so many people online and also to have so much fun. While I do not have the time to maintain or really play in any RPG's any more, they do bring back very fond memories. Days in the past where I'd post on my Prodigy account, a BBS, an online forum, or even write up a story to share. Hence why I will take a moment to think back and smile. In Remembrance of Secfenia: 1994-2002 Secfenia has been a Modified Free Forum Role-Playing environment that has existed since 1994. Secfenia uses no dice, but instead relies on the creativity and imagination of all role-players. The Game Moderator (GM) helps decides the outcomes of situations. In Secfenia, you will notice the use of technology, magic, trickery, politics, and more! Secfenia is a world filled with mystery, knowledge, and challenges. Can you rule the world, rule your nation, or even rule yourself in Secfenia? Only time will tell... Secfenia RPG is no longer played, but this site stays up as a reminder of the past...
