Secfenia.org Secfenia.org was originally bought for the purpose of being the main website for the Role Playing Game Secfenia back in 2000. We had a website before on the now defunct (bought out by Yahoo) GeoCities. After Yahoo bought out geocities (which just as a side note, Viceroy had been a member of since 1995), the Secfenia RPG moved from one free website service to another. (Why did we not just keep it on Yahoo Geocities? Because of all the new popups and ads. We had intrusive ads that plagued the Yahoo Geocities.) On March 16, 2000, the RPG has it's final home - Secfenia.org. Things were looking good for the RPG. It now had a permanent home. Space to grow in. However, due to the popularity of many other online activities, the role-playing game has pretty much faded into the non-history books. So, does that mean the end of Secfenia.org? Not at all! We continue going thanks to (or due to depending upon your point of view) the support of visitors like you. (Why is this starting to sound like a PBS comment?) This also led to the recreation of the Secfenia RPG which was created in 2009. Fore more information about Secfenia, check out our Credits page. So, in short... Secfenia.org is here to stay. It's no longer just about a role-playing game... No, it's just our personal little domain. :-) We currently host several different avenues of interest and are always looking to improve the site. If you have any suggestions, feel free to pass them along. If you are still reading, then let me explain a little about how we got the name secfenia. It dates back to the renaming of the old role-playing game Star Trip. We wanted to change it to something different. Secfenia was chosen because I was with the SunCoast Free-Net (SCFN) - with my old ID sftbun. [Read about the Fall of the Old SCFN] Still confused? Well, take the abbreviation for SunCoast Free-Net (SCFN) and add a "E" between the "S" and the "C", the "F" and the "N", and then add a "IA" to the end... what do you get? SECFENIA |
